Products / Allflex Tags

50 years ago the name Allflex originated in Palmerston North New Zealand. Allflex New Zealand moulded high quality plastic raw material into ear tags for management use in the progressive New Zealand livestock industry.

In 1978 Allflex New Zealand merged with European tag manufacturer Chevillot. Allflex SA is a division of Allflex Europe S.A and part of an international group of companies solely engaged in the manufacturing of animal identification products for all species of livestock.

The Allflex Group supplies products to more than 100 countries worldwide, supplying over 500 million ear tag pieces per annum. The majority of this output specialises in meeting the requirement of worldwide official animal identification schemes.

To meet these specialist requirements the company has modern automated manufacturing facilities in Europe, China and South America, together with local laser printing facilities which support this productin in Europe, North and South America, China, Australasia and South Africa Allflex is also market leader in the production of ISO compliant Electronic Identification devices for use in farm management and official applications.

All Allflex tags use the same unique Male and Female fixing system and can be applied by the Red Universal Total Tagger. This fixing system means that different shapes and sizes of Male and Female Allflex tags can be mixed to give the customer many options to suit their requirement.

Allflex tags are designed to be easy to apply and can be clearly seen from a distance. The male half of the tag comprises of a flexible but strong shaft which can easily rotate in the ear to reduce the risk of snagging. On larger tags, the female half of the tag uses ULTRA, a unigue head design that offers greater security and retention but with ease of application.
